Erica Dorsey

Bio

Ms. Dorsey has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, as well as preparing non-infringement, invalidity, and patentability opinions for a variety of national and international clients. Her practice is focused primarily on mechanical, electromechanical, and related technologies, including consumer products, commercial kitchen equipment, apparel, equipment for making glass, engine components and software. Ms. Dorsey has additional experience in providing support for patent litigation and intellectual property aspects of due diligence.

During law school, Ms. Dorsey worked with an intellectual property law firm in the field of patent prosecution and intellectual property related matters as well as in house as a law intern at an audio equipment manufacturer. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Dorsey gained experience working with original equipment manufacturers in the automotive field as well as working with a city engineering department in the area of construction.

Ms. Dorsey has also enjoyed being active as a past president and current board member of the Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association, and as a past board member and past co-chair of the Women in the Law committee of the Fairfield County Bar Association.
